Interior

Technology
Both the PALISADE and the Pathfinder feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen display mounted on the dashboard. To help you communicate with passengers in the rear rows, the former model offers a standard Passenger Talk in-car intercom. The latter does not have any comparable features. When you spring for the PALISADE’s available 14-speaker Bose®5 premium audio system, each drive down Route 1 will be filled with a sense of excitement. Although the Pathfinder also has an available Bose®6 premium sound system, its 13 speakers don’t pack the same punch. Finally, the PALISADE’s available Hyundai Pay7 feature allows you to pay for gas and parking right from the vehicle’s touchscreen. Once again, the Pathfinder does not offer any similar features. Understandably, we were anxious to find a replacement as quickly as possible. We considered Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Ford, and Hyundai. After test-driving the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited, my daughter knew it was the vehicle she wanted. Since we live in Fairfax, we contacted and visited nearly every Hyundai dealership in Northern Virginia searching for a white Tucson Hybrid Limited with a gray interior. Unfortunately, several dealerships told us over the phone that they had the vehicle, only for us to arrive and hear that it had “just sold”—or, in some cases, learn that they had never had it at all and were simply trying to get us into the showroom. Sheehy Hyundai was the most disappointing. They assured us they had the vehicle, but after we made the drive and explained the exact color combination we wanted, they quickly dismissed us when they realized it was not on their lot. Every dealership seemed interested only in selling us something they already had in inventory. That completely changed when we arrived at Pohanka Hyundai.
