2017 Hyundai Sonata vs 2017 Chrysler 200 near Greenbelt, MD
*Vehicle shown above is a 2017 Hyundai Sonata Limited.
For a midsize sedan that will dominate its competition in more ways than one, you’ll want to take a look at this comparison. The 2017 Hyundai Sonata reigns supreme over the 2017 Chrysler 200, and you can test drive this superior vehicle at Pohanka Hyundai today! Come on over to our dealership, where we are located at 1770 Ritchie Station Court in Capitol Heights, MD, to get behind the wheel.
Just a few moments in the driver’s seat of each of these sedans will give you a good idea of how different they are in terms of performance. While the Sonata and the 200 both include a 2.4L engine, the former still comes out on top by exuding a maximal 185 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. The Chrysler 200 only pushes out a lesser 184 horsepower and 173 lb.-ft. of torque, resulting in slower acceleration on your daily commutes. Thanks to the Sonata’s fuel rating of 25 MPG city1, your cruises down Cherrywood Lane will be liberating. The 200 only offers a fuel economy of 23 MPG city2 and merely includes a 15.8-gallon fuel tank capacity, which just doesn’t match up against the Sonata’s 18.5-gallon fuel tank capacity.
When you venture to the interior of each of these sedans, you’ll find an abundance of technology that is sure to keep you entertained on your daily commutes. The 2017 Sonata edges out the 2017 Chrysler 200 in terms of these systems, starting with standard SiriusXM® Satellite Radio3 to give you a variety of music entertainment for your drives down Capital Beltway Inner Loop. Crank up the audio in the Sonata, and your music will adjust to the right level with speed-sensitive volume control. The Chrysler 200 ignores both satellite radio and volume control, and leaves Bluetooth® hands-free phone capability4 to higher trim levels. Thankfully, the Hyundai Sonata ensures that this amenity is standard, so you can call up your loved ones in a hurry.
While the Sonata clearly offers more advanced technology than the 200, it is also outfitted with convenient features to enhance your driving experience. With 45.5 inches of front legroom in the Sonata, you can stretch out on your drives to Safeway. As the 200 only includes 42.2 inches of front legroom, you might feel cheated out of a truly relaxing commute. You can check your reflection in the illuminated vanity mirrors in the Sonata even at night, but unfortunately, the 200 only offers standard mirrors until its highest trim level. When snow and ice strike your vehicle, the Sonata’s heated exterior mirrors will surely evaporate these elements to ensure visibility on every drive, but the 200’s standard outside mirrors don’t come with this function.
It’s not a difficult choice to make when you look at the comparison of the 2017 Hyundai Sonata vs 2017 Chrysler 200 near Greenbelt, MD. With the Sonata as the obvious champion over its competition, you need only stop by Pohanka Hyundai today to test drive this first-rate midsize sedan. We are awaiting your call at 855-995-7286!

“ ★★★★★ You’ll Want to Read This One to the End In June, my daughter was involved in an accident caused by an uninsured driver, and her car was totaled. Understandably, we were anxious to find a replacement as quickly as possible. We considered Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Ford, and Hyundai. After test-driving the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited, my daughter knew it was the vehicle she wanted. Since we live in Fairfax, we contacted and visited nearly every Hyundai dealership in Northern Virginia searching for a white Tucson Hybrid Limited with a gray interior. Unfortunately, several dealerships told us over the phone that they had the vehicle, only for us to arrive and hear that it had “just sold”—or, in some cases, learn that they had never had it at all and were simply trying to get us into the showroom. Sheehy Hyundai was the most disappointing. They assured us they had the vehicle, but after we made the drive and explained the exact color combination we wanted, they quickly dismissed us when they realized it was not on their lot. Every dealership seemed interested only in selling us something they already had in inventory. That completely changed when we arrived at Pohanka Hyundai. Rod warmly welcomed us and genuinely listened to what we were looking for: a white Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited with a gray interior. Instead of trying to convince us to settle for another vehicle, Rod and Luis Lemus immediately went to work locating the exact Tucson my daughter wanted. Within 30 minutes, they told us they had found one and could have it ready for us that evening. My daughter completed the paperwork and applied for 100% financing online. When we returned that evening, the vehicle was ready. We completed the transaction with Joann Nolta in approximately 10 minutes, and Rod was waiting out front to personally deliver the car. The entire process was professional, efficient, honest, and completely stress-free. Rod, Luis, and Joann turned what had been a frustrating search into one of the easiest car-buying experiences we have ever had. I wish buying a new vehicle were this simple at every dealership. Pohanka Hyundai truly earned this five-star review. ”
